The training won’t guarantee a trouble-free outcome in confrontations with police but it will help you learn what is legal, what tricks can get played to make you do something illegal , how to increase your safety and how to assert your rights.

There will be experienced trainers, a couple “what if” scenarios and some answers to tough questions about what rights, if any, folks on parole, probation or another compromised status have.

This training is being provided by The Police Accountability Clinic and Helpline at the Arlene Francis Center, 99 6th St., Santa Rosa, Sat. May 19th from 2:00 – 5:00

4:00 pm: “Rockupy!” More live music to celebrate the 99% and launch ourselves into a powerful Spring Awakening of the movement!

Corporations Are Not Persons The Corporations are not Persons  WG is mandated to plan, promote and carry out direct action and educate the public in order to Amend the Constitution, taking away corporate rights which should be restricted to actual living humans and ensuring that money does not equal speech in our system.

Web/ Media – Web Media works to help get the word out about OSR- via our websites, Facebook and other social media. We help Occupy folks get started with writing press releases, then assist with the editing process. We will then submit final drafts to local newspapers and other outlets. We seek to share OSR’s message as far and wide as possible, and keep people informed of all of Occupy Santa Rosa’s actions and events.

ALSO, today (Wednesday) we will be making T-shirts that have a message of solidarity on them for all of us to wear. We will be making them at the Peace and Justice Center all day. You can come help us out, or let us know what size shirt you would like. If you have an OSR shirt already, feel free to wear that. We can hand out shirts tomorrow morning. We can wear Occupy clothing but cannot carry signs.
